New Moon

Wow,  I just came back from seeing New Moon and I was great!!!!! I did not get my hopes up before seeing the film because I thought the Twilight movie was sooo bad. But they really stepped up their game in this one.

Movie Review - Inglourious Basterds

This weekend I was one of the many who went to see Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds.”The movie begins in the idyllic French countryside at the home of a dairy farmer and his three daughters.   Down the country road rumble the Nazi soldiers led by the much dreaded Col. Hans ‘Jew Hunter’ Landa (a terrific Christoph Waltz).  Landa believes the farmer is illegally harboring the Jewish Dreyfus family. After a most menacing interview, the poor farmer tearfully points to the floor where the family is hiding.  The Nazi soldiers riddle the floor with bullets, but the young daughter, Shosanna Dreyfus, crawls out from under the house and begins to run.  The startled girl is shaken and covered in blood, but she runs for her life across the countryside.   Landa runs out of the house and looks like he has a shot at her, but lets her go with a smirk and a smile. The antithesis to the Nazis, are the “Basterds,” a group of Nazi-scalping soldiers led by the charismatic Lt.

It Happened One Night (1934)

I've been wanting and waiting to see this multi-Oscar wining film for a very long time and the other night I finally got the chance. And I was not disappointed in the least. Considering the fact that the film opens with the headline "The Players" (I'm a sucker for old-fashioned gimmicks) and Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert are listed directly below, you know this film has to be a treat.

"The Dark Knight" is a horror flick

Yesterday we went to see this movie, and as usual we enjoyed the Imax Experience - as they call it themselves. The Dark Knight has been filmed in Imax format and the views were totally impressive. The movie itself, I can only describe as VIOLENT.

Movie Review: The Dark Knight

So I feel weird blogging a review of "The Dark Knight" because of all the recent Christian Bale family drama that has sadly surfaced but today is the first time in a week that I'm inspired to write my little heart out so here it goes. Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" picks up where 2005's "Batman Begins" left off but with a new villian. Out with the Scarecrow and in with The Joker.

Iron Man (2008)

Yahoo says: "Tony Stark is a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is kidnapped and forced to build a devastating weapon. Instead, using his intelligence and ingenuity, Tony builds a high-tech suit of armor and escapes captivity. When he uncovers a nefarious plot with global implications, he dons his powerful armor and vows to protect the world as Iron Man."

Jumper

Jumper was a movie that held my interest throughout the whole thing but also a movie that had no real purpose. I think the only reason it held my interest because of the non-stop action in it which keeps my interest any time of the day, so if you're an action lover than I say go for it and see it because you'll probably like it, but if you like movies with a little more moral than this is most definitely not the movie for you. Me, I try to give all movies a chance which is why I even considered seeing this movie in the first place.

The Strangers

After returning from a wedding reception, a couple staying in an isolated vacation house receive a knock on the door in the mid-hours of the night. What ensues is a violent invasion by three strangers, their faces hidden behind masks. The couple find themselves in a violent struggle, in which they go beyond what either of them thought capable in order to survive.

The Strangers (2008)

My bf and I went to see this last night, and we were both on the edge of our seat the whole time. I don't often like scary movies of this sort, but was interested in this as it was based on true events. I'm giving it 4 stars out of five because I really liked it, but not totally loved it.

The Bucket List

The Bucket List was a very funny yet serious movie. Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson (is that how you spell his last name?) had good chemistry in this movie. Almost like a couple!
