(My previous blog has gone haywire, so I am re-posting it)
I was thinking today about some of the really amazingly talented actors and actresses out there right now who don't get as much press as those who are getting arrested every five minutes. (cough...Lindsay....cough...Paris)
So, I decided to compile a list of movie acting performances that have really stuck out in my head as noteworthy and not to be missed. I would love to hear from others as to some of their favorites.

Joaquin and Christian are def. two of my favorite male actors too. Christian Bale is just such a versatile actor and is so believable in any role that he's playing. I also ♥ Ben Foster. He was awesome in Six Feet Under, one of my favorite TV shows of all time. In that same thread, I;ll have to add Peter Krause too, he's a great actor too.
1I agree with Joseph Gordon Levitt. So good. I think he might be our next Edward Norton. Speaking of Edward Norton. Have you seen him The Painted Veil. I love that movie.
How about Emile Hirsch, yiddidea? I saw a long trailer for his latest film Into the Wild and looks fantastic.
"I'm just one stomach flu away from my goal weight." Emily Blunt, The Devil Wears Prada.
2Ryan Gosling was beyond amazing in The Believer. I also am wholeheartedly on the Ben Foster and Joseph Gordon Levitt bandwagon, I think their careers are going to stand the test of time.
3Hey pink - Emile Hirsch is still on the fence for me. I was a bit dissapointed with him in Alpha Dog, but I think he was just out-acted. I think there is a good actor in there though, so I will check out his new movie.
I did see the Painted Veil. Edward was very good in that one!
